Cisco Certifications

This document outlines all the information about Cisco exams I have accumulated over the years.

Which Certifications?

To view the full list of currently offered Cisco exams and certifications, visit the official Cisco Certifications page.

Types of Certifications

Certifications offered by Cisco are broken into the following rankings: - Technician - Associate - Specialist - Professional - Expert

Associate

To earn an Associate certification, like the CCNA or the CCDA, you have to complete the corresponding exams (example):

CCNA CCDA
Exam CCNA DEVASC

Once you have passed one of these exams, you are awarded the Associate certification.

Professional

To earn an Professional certification, like the CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, or DevNet Professional, you have to complete the corresponding exams (example):

CCNP EN CCNP DC CCNP DEV
Exam ENCOR + Specialization DCCOR + Specialization DEVCOR + Specialization

Each professional level certification has many specialist certifications that can be earned within the CCNP umbrella, for example ENAUTO for enterprise automation.

To earn the full CCNP certification, you must complete the core exam, plus one specialist exam.
